The moment we stepped into the property, we asked Sanjeewa if we could stay for extra day. He is the most hospitable, kind, and caring host. The property is pristinely clean with large rooms with very comfortable beds and good hot shower. Sanjeewa went above and beyond to delight us in indeed very special Sri Lankan meals. He also booked a driver/guide for Yala NP, Bodica (Bodi) Ravindra who was excellent driver, guide (yes, we saw a leopard) and his vehicle was very well maintained, clean with good tires. Very memorable experience!

Moonlight guest house sits beautifully at the edge of a huge rice paddy field. The guest house is very comfortable with beautiful grounds allowing you to hang out in hammocks, relaxing after a full day of Safari. They also have a Safari family business which I can highly recommend. Just book your room and tell them you want to do a Safari and they will take care of everything. The owner is Sanjeewa is super friendly and helpful in any aspect. His aunty and care taker is an excellent cook, breakfasts and dinners have been exceptional.

We enjoyed a lot our stay in tissamaharama. The room was quite big, clean and confirmable. The best of your stay it was the safari. We reserve the safari with the guys from the hotel and it was absolutely amazing. They have full equiped jeeps and a lot experience in searching the animals.We enjoyed every moment. We took a full day Safari in Yala national Park and it was gorgeous. It includes breakfast, water, soft drinks, fruits, lunch and snacks. It totally deserved. Very recomendable. Thanks you!

Great stop to go to Yala safari park. Sanjeewa is a great host and is very responsive via messages. I would strongly recommend their safari, which is conducted by Sanjeewa's family. They have been safari guides for a very long time and are quite experienced. We managed to see both rare animals - the leopard and the bear, in addition to plenty others. The room was nice and the bed was comfortable. Everything was very clean. The post-safari lunch with rice and curry was probably the best we had in Sri Lanka over the 7 days that we stayed there.
